These Terms of Use govern your use of the Jijora marketplace platform ("Jijora", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by PulsePixels Technologies, Kumasi, Ghana. By accessing or using Jijora, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Jijora. By creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into agreements.
2. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
- You must not share your account credentials with any third party.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Listing Rules
You agree that all listings you post on Jijora will:
- Be accurate, honest, and not misleading
- Represent items you legally own or have the right to sell
- Not include prohibited items (see Section 4)
- Include real photos of the actual item being sold
- State the correct price โ price manipulation and bait-and-switch are prohibited
4. Prohibited Items
The following items may NOT be listed on Jijora under any circumstances:
- Illegal goods, controlled substances, or narcotics
- Counterfeit, stolen, or fraudulently obtained goods
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Human body parts, organs, or biological samples
- Child exploitation material of any kind
- Personal data, ID documents, or financial credentials
- Services that facilitate illegal activity
- Live animals (require special approval)
5. Fees and Payments
Posting a basic listing on Jijora is free. We offer optional paid features including Premium Listings, Ad Boost, and Jijora Safe Pay. All fees are displayed clearly before payment. Payments are processed via Paystack, MTN Mobile Money, or Airtel Money. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
6. Jijora Safe Pay
When using Jijora Safe Pay (escrow), Jijora acts as an intermediary holding funds until the buyer confirms receipt. Jijora charges a 2.5% service fee on Safe Pay transactions. Jijora is not a bank and does not provide financial services. Disputes under Safe Pay are subject to our Dispute Resolution Policy.
7. Seller Responsibilities
- Sellers are solely responsible for the items they list and sell.
- Sellers must accurately describe item condition, defects, and any known issues.
- Sellers must honour agreed prices and meet buyers as arranged.
- Jijora is not liable for items that are misrepresented, damaged, or not delivered.
8. Buyer Responsibilities
- Buyers must inspect items before completing a transaction.
- Buyers must meet sellers in safe, public locations.
- Buyers should use Jijora Safe Pay for high-value items.
9. Limitation of Liability
Jijora is a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee any items listed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jijora shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from transactions between users.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Jijora after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

PulsePixels Technologies operates the Jijora marketplace. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, profile photo
- Listing information: photos, descriptions, prices, location (city/country)
- Transaction data: payment amounts, payment method, transaction history
- Usage data: pages visited, listings viewed, searches performed, device type
2. How We Use Your Data
- Operate and improve the Jijora marketplace
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Verify your identity and account security
- Send transactional notifications (messages, listing updates)
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Sharing
We share data only with: payment processors (Paystack, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money), identity verification providers (Smile Identity), SMS providers (Africa's Talking), email providers (Resend), and law enforcement when legally required.
4. Data Retention
- Active account data: retained for the life of your account
- Deleted account data: anonymised within 30 days of deletion request
- Transaction records: retained for 7 years for legal/tax compliance
- Audit logs: retained for 2 years
5. Your Rights
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012, Nigeria's NDPR, and applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, visit your Privacy Settings page or email privacy@jijora.com.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use analytics cookies (anonymised) to understand how the platform is used. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. KYC documents are encrypted at rest.
8. Children's Privacy
Jijora is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
